Gaza Health Ministry announced that Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) carried out three new massacres in the Gaza Strip within the past 24 hours, resulting in 70 fatalities and 104 injuries reported at hospitals.

The ministry added that since the aggression began on October 7, 2023, the total number of casualties has reached 46,006 fatalities and 109,378 injuries.

This comes amid continued heavy bombardment targeting residential areas and infrastructure across the Gaza Strip.

In related news, the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) reported Thursday that 74 children were killed during the first week of 2025 due to ongoing violence in Gaza, including attacks on areas designated as safe zones.

Catherine Russell, UNICEF's Executive Director, stated on the platform X that eight newborns died since Dec. 26 due to hypothermia, as over one million displaced children in Gaza seek refuge in makeshift tents ill-equipped for harsh winter conditions.

Russell warned that inadequate shelter, lack of access to food and healthcare, deteriorating sanitary conditions, and severe winter weather pose life-threatening risks to all children in Gaza. She emphasized that newborns and sick children are the most vulnerable in the ongoing crisis.
