Jordanian medical teams arrive in Gaza to support Palestinians
As part of Jordan’s continued efforts, led by His Majesty King Abdullah II, to support the resilience of the Palestinian people, the Jordanian Field Hospital South Gaza/5 teams arrived in the southern Gaza Strip on Wednesday.
The teams are set to provide humanitarian and medical assistance to alleviate the suffering in the region.
Accompanying the medical teams were 17 trucks loaded with medical, therapeutic, and relief supplies to support the hospital, which includes several specialized departments staffed by highly skilled professionals. Additionally, 23 trucks carrying construction materials arrived to begin the first phase of establishing a new maternity and neonatal field hospital in Khan Younis.
Upon arrival, the 126-member medical team—comprising surgeons, pediatricians, specialists in internal medicine, orthopedics, obstetrics, and a mobile prosthetic support unit—began preparations to ensure readiness to receive patients in the coming days.
Meanwhile, the Jordanian Field Hospital South Gaza/4 team has returned to Jordan after successfully completing its humanitarian mission in Gaza.
