Biden cancels Italy trip over Los Angeles wildfire crisis

The White House announced Thursday that US President Joe Biden canceled his trip to Italy to prioritize addressing the wildfires in Los Angeles.

Authorities in the US ordered Hollywood residents to evacuate their homes after a new fire erupted just hundreds of meters from Hollywood Boulevard.

The Los Angeles Fire Department warned, “There is an immediate threat to life. This is a legal evacuation order—leave now.”

According to AFP, the department also declared the area legally off-limits to the public.
