Axios, citing a US official, reported that Brett McGurk, deputy assistant to US President Joe Biden and National Security Council coordinator for the Middle East and North Africa, arrived in Doha to join ceasefire negotiations on Gaza.

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken stressed the importance of sustaining support for Tel Aviv to prevent further escalation in Gaza, stating that this approach seeks to minimize destruction and save lives.

Blinken noted that the US is actively collaborating with its partners, particularly Arab nations, on a comprehensive post-war plan for Gaza and expressed optimism about its implementation in the near future.

He clarified that if progress cannot be made, the plan will be deferred to the next US administration for further action.

Blinken also voiced concerns over whether "Israel" has done enough to facilitate humanitarian aid delivery, emphasizing that the US has exerted pressure to ensure aid reaches those in need.
