Man fatally stabs sister 16 times in Jordan
A man in his twenties fatally stabbed his 17-year-old sister, a mother of two, after a personal dispute, according to a source who spoke to Roya.
The crime occurred in Gawr As-Safi, Jordan Valley, where the man stabbed his married sister 16 times with a kitchen knife, as revealed by a source close to the investigation.
The victim had visited her family’s home when a verbal altercation broke out between her and her brother. During the argument, the man retrieved a knife from the kitchen and attacked her, inflicting fatal injuries.
Family members rushed the victim to a Civil Defense center, but she succumbed to her wounds before arrival.
An autopsy conducted by a forensic medical team revealed 16 stab wounds, primarily in her back and abdomen, causing severe internal bleeding that led to her death.
The prosecutor of the Grand Criminal Court has charged the man with premeditated murder and ordered his detention for 15 days, subject to renewal, at a correctional and rehabilitation center.
The victim’s family has received her body from the National Institute of Forensic Medicine and completed her burial.
Meanwhile, the prosecutor is continuing the investigation, collecting testimony from family members who witnessed the incident.
