Weather forecast: Cold conditions persist across most of Jordan

Temperatures will drop slightly today, with cold weather prevailing in most regions and moderate conditions in the Jordan Valley, Dead Sea, and Aqaba. Winds will be moderate and easterly.

The Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) has issued warnings of reduced visibility in the morning due to fog over mountainous areas and some plains. Frost formation is also likely in the early morning over high mountain areas and parts of the desert.

Wednesday

Cold weather will persist in most regions, with moderate conditions continuing in the Jordan Valley, Dead Sea, and Aqaba. Low-altitude clouds are expected, and winds will be moderate and southeasterly.

Thursday

A slight rise in temperatures is forecast, with relatively cold weather in most areas and slightly warmer conditions in the Jordan Valley, Dead Sea, and Aqaba. High-altitude clouds will appear, and moderate southeasterly winds may occasionally become active.

Friday

Relatively cold weather will continue across most regions, with slightly warmer conditions in the Jordan Valley, Dead Sea, and Aqaba. High-altitude clouds will persist, with increasing cloud cover in the afternoon over northern and central regions, bringing partly cloudy skies and a chance of light rain in parts of northern Jordan.

Winds will shift to moderate westerlies, occasionally becoming active and stirring dust in desert areas.
