Jordanian doctor released after 'Israeli' detention
Jordan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates announced the release of Dr. Abdullah Salama Abu Malal al-Bloui, a Jordanian doctor who had been detained by 'Israeli' authorities while en route to participate in a medical aid mission to Gaza.
Ministry spokesperson, Ambassador Dr. Sufyan al-Qudah, explained that intense diplomatic efforts were made through the Jordanian Embassy in Tel Aviv, from the moment of his detention until his release was secured. The doctor was recently received through diplomatic channels at the Sheikh Hussein Bridge, in the presence of an embassy representative, and will be handed over to his family immediately.
Ambassador al-Qudah emphasized that the Ministry's operations center and the embassy followed the case closely on a daily basis and communicated Jordan’s rejection of the charges against the doctor. The Ministry demanded his release and swift return to Jordan.
He further confirmed that the Ministry maintained constant communication with the doctor's family, keeping them updated on the developments of his case, and coordinated with the lawyer appointed to defend Dr. al-Bloui. The Ministry remains committed to protecting the rights and ensuring the safety of Jordanian citizens under all circumstances.
