Qassem: "Israel" failed to advance in Lebanon despite 64 days of attempts
Hezbollah Secretary-General Naim Qassem revealed that the Israeli Occupation attempted to advance into Lebanon for 64 days but managed only a limited progression of a few hundred meters.
Despite repeated efforts, Qassem explained, the occupation forces could not push beyond the frontline, underscoring the resistance’s effectiveness in deterring and disrupting their objectives. He highlighted that Hezbollah agreed to the ceasefire while maintaining a strong and influential presence on the ground.
Speaking at a ceremony marking the martyrdom of Iranian Commander Qasem Soleimani and Abu Mahdi Al-Muhandis, Qassem stated, “The resistance has grown stronger and more deeply rooted, creating a lasting legacy for future generations.”
He stressed that the Lebanese state bears responsibility for implementing the ceasefire agreement with the occupation and affirmed that Hezbollah’s leadership determines the timing, strategy, and tools of resistance, including the choice of weapons.
