Jordan: Anti-Corruption Commission retrieves JD 141 million in misappropriated funds
Amjad Narmouq, Secretary-General of the Integrity and Anti-Corruption Commission in Jordan, said that they retrieved JD 141 million in misappropriated funds in the year 2023.

Narmouq urged the government and Parliament to increase the commission's budget during discussions on the 2025 general budget law.
Narmouq highlighted that the commission's current budget stands at JD 7.549 million.
The commission registered 1,043 new cases this year, alongside 840 pending cases from previous years, bringing the total to 1,883 cases.
Of these, 1,115 have been resolved, 135 referred to the public prosecutor, and 25 to the Attorney General.
Additionally, 851 cases were closed, 98 were forwarded to the commission's directorates, and the remaining cases are still under investigation.
