Minor earthquake recorded near Dead Sea, no damage reported

Jordan Seismological Observatory recorded a 3.3-magnitude earthquake on Monday, located northwest of the Dead Sea in the Al-Karama region.

Ghassan Sweidan, head of the observatory, stated that the earthquake occurred at exactly 1:30 PM and had a depth of 6 kilometers.

He added that the tremor was minor and went unnoticed by residents.

Sweidan assured that the earthquake posed no threat to the region's infrastructure.
