Day 439: Palestinian resistance deals major blow to Israeli Occupation Forces in Gaza
Palestinian resistance factions escalated their operations against Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) on the 439th day of the Gaza assault, inflicting heavy losses on the occupation army.
The IOF confirmed the deaths of a company commander and a soldier in Rafah, southern Gaza, while Hebrew media described a "serious security incident" in Jabalia, northern Gaza.
Al-Qassam Brigades, Hamas' military wing, claimed responsibility for significant operations in Jabalia.
They reported neutralizing three IOF soldiers at close range west of Jabalia camp and detonating an explosive-laden house targeting an IOF unit of 11 soldiers in central Jabalia, causing multiple casualties.
The "Israeli" Defense Ministry revealed that the total number of injured soldiers since the war's onset has reached 13,500, highlighting the severe human toll on occupation forces.
Meanwhile, regarding the ceasefire, the White House announced progress toward a Gaza ceasefire agreement.
Spokesperson John Kirby stated that US officials believe "Israel" and Hamas are nearing an accord, expressing cautious optimism, "We’ve been here before but haven’t crossed the finish line yet."
Hamas echoed this sentiment, emphasizing ongoing "serious and positive" discussions in Doha, mediated by Qatar and Egypt. The movement indicated that a ceasefire and prisoner exchange deal is achievable if "Israel" refrains from introducing new conditions.
