'Israeli' military announces launch of operations in Syria tonight
The Chief of Staff of the Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF), Herzi Halevi, announced that starting Sunday night, the IOF will begin combat operations in Syria.
Halevi stated that the IOF is already engaged on fronts in Gaza, the West Bank, and Lebanon, and from tonight, it will open a new front in Syria.
The Hebrew newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth reported that the IOF had taken control of Mount Hermon in Syria in recent hours without encountering any resistance.
The IOF raised the flag of the "Israeli" entity over the Syrian Mount Hermon area after declaring its occupation without resistance.
Earlier, the occupation army’s radio reported that the cabinet had decided to occupy the Syrian Mount Hermon area and establish a buffer zone.
The radio further mentioned that the occupation army would act as the executive force in the buffer zone along the border with Syria.
