Warnings issued over frost formation over next three nights in Jordan
Jordan will experience relatively cool weather over high mountain areas during the day, while other regions will enjoy mild temperatures, according to the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD).
Sunday
Meteorological Director Raed Al-Khattab stated that winds will be light and vary between northeasterly and northwesterly directions. By evening, temperatures will drop, resulting in cold conditions in most regions and relatively cool weather in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba. Winds will remain light and variable.

Monday
Monday will bring similar conditions, with relatively cool weather in high mountain areas and mild temperatures elsewhere. High-altitude clouds will appear, and winds will be light and southeasterly.
At night, the weather will turn cold across most regions and relatively cool in the Jordan Valley, Dead Sea, and Aqaba. Frost is again expected late at night in high mountain areas, with light southeasterly winds prevailing.
Tuesday
Tuesday’s weather will remain cool in high mountain areas and mild in other regions, with low clouds appearing. Winds will shift in the afternoon from light southeasterly to light northwesterly.
During the evening, conditions will remain cold in most areas and relatively cool in the Jordan Valley, Dead Sea, and Aqaba, accompanied by low clouds. Light northwesterly winds will continue. Frost is likely late at night over high mountain areas.
Wednesday
Wednesday will bring partly cloudy skies with relatively cool weather in high mountain areas and mild temperatures elsewhere. There is a slight chance of light, scattered rain showers in northern Jordan.
Winds will be moderate and westerly. At night, the weather will remain cold in most regions and relatively cool in the Jordan Valley, Dead Sea, and Aqaba, with continued partial cloud cover over northern and central areas. Winds will stay moderate and westerly.
The Meteorological Department advises caution due to frost risks over high mountain areas during late-night hours throughout the week.
