Regional weather platform "ArabiaWeather" has reported a significant drop in temperatures across Jordan tonight, with most areas expected to approach freezing. This will result in extremely cold conditions across many regions, particularly in higher altitudes and the eastern plains.

Biting cold is forecasted to intensify over the Sharah Mountains and parts of the desert and eastern plains, with ideal conditions for frost formation overnight and into early Wednesday morning.

The combination of clear skies, calm winds, and an intense cold air mass affecting the region is contributing to this severe chill.

The Siberian cold wave deepened further Monday night into Tuesday morning, causing unprecedented low temperatures for this time of year across the kingdom.

Light to moderate rainfall has accompanied the cold snap, with scattered showers reported in northern, central, and southern parts of Jordan. However, rain is expected to taper off gradually over the coming hours, leaving only a slight chance of localized showers in some areas.
