One dead in traffic accident in Jordan

The Traffic Department reported Sunday via the Public Security Directorate’s radio station that multiple road obstructions were dealt with over the past 24 hours.

Fatal Accident in Al-Azraq Area

A serious collision occurred Saturday in the Shweir area on Al-Azraq Road, involving two vehicles. The accident resulted in one fatality and two injuries. Emergency services transported the deceased and injured to Al-Zarqa Governmental Hospital. Security teams were present at the scene to clear the obstruction.

Heavy Traffic in Amman

A representative from the Central Traffic Department highlighted significant traffic congestion in various areas of Amman, coinciding with school hours.

The department also handled several disruptions caused by vehicle breakdowns, which impacted traffic flow. Drivers were urged to ensure their vehicles are roadworthy, avoid distractions such as mobile phones, and refrain from sudden lane changes to maintain road safety.

Authorities continue to emphasize the importance of following traffic rules to reduce accidents and ensure smoother commutes across the city.
