The operation was carried out by the Anti-Smuggling Directorate, supported by the General Intelligence Department (GID), after thorough surveillance and information gathering.

Qudah stated that, under the Prime Minister’s directives, anti-smuggling efforts have intensified against "juice" flavors, e-cigarettes, muʽassel (molasses), and tobacco due to their serious risks to public health and safety.

The operation resulted in the confiscation of 60,000 containers of "juice" in various sizes, 10 tons of expired and unfit tobacco and muʽassel, and approximately 10,000 e-cigarettes.

A makeshift workshop mixing toxic chemicals with flavors was also shut down. Qudah noted that such facilities prioritize "quick profit" over public health and do not adhere to safety standards.

He stressed the continued collaboration with security agencies to protect public health, the economy, and market fairness. Qudah dismissed claims linking higher cigarette taxes to increased smuggling, attributing it instead to individuals seeking illegal gains without regard for the consequences.

Additionally, authorities seized muʽassel dating back to 2004, intended for repackaging and sale. The estimated value of the confiscated goods is in the hundreds of thousands, possibly reaching millions.
