Mild weather expected Tuesday, storms likely midweek

The Jordan Meteorological Department reported that Tuesday will bring mild daytime weather across most areas of the kingdom, with warmer conditions in the Jordan Valley, Dead Sea, and Aqaba. Scattered low-altitude clouds are expected throughout.

During the evening, temperatures will drop, making conditions cool in most areas, while remaining mild in the Jordan Valley, Dead Sea, and Aqaba, with scattered clouds continuing.

The Meteorological Department’s statement noted a slight increase in temperatures, forecasting mild weather over high mountainous areas and moderate conditions in other regions.

Starting Wednesday afternoon, weather instability will affect the kingdom, bringing increased cloud cover over the southern regions and a chance of scattered showers that may become heavy at times, accompanied by thunderstorms and hail.

By late Wednesday night, rain is expected to spread to central and eastern parts of the kingdom, with active southeastern winds that may stir dust in some desert areas.

The department warned of slippery roads during rainfall, the risk of flash floods in valleys and low-lying areas, thunderstorm hazards, and reduced visibility due to dust in desert areas.
