Jordan condemns violence, terrorism by settlers

Jordan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates has strongly condemned the violence and terrorism perpetrated by settlers in the occupied Palestinian territories.

This condemnation follows an incident where a group of settlers set fire to several vehicles in the Al-Bireh area near Ramallah.

In a statement issued on Monday, the ministry highlighted that one of the vehicles targeted in the attack had been designated by the Palestinian government for use by the Jordanian surgical station in Al-Bireh. The ministry holds Tel Aviv, as the occupying power, responsible for ensuring the protection of the Palestinian people and humanitarian aid workers operating in the occupied territories.

Dr. Sufyan Al-Qudah, the official spokesperson for the ministry, reiterated Jordan's firm rejection of these assaults and the escalating terrorism by settlers against the Palestinian people. He emphasized that such violence has intensified in the context of the ongoing dangerous escalation in the occupied territories by extremist settlers since the onset of the Israeli assault on the Gaza Strip.
