Ten killed in attack in southeast Iran

Iranian media reported that an attack against a police force killed ten in the Sistan and Baluchestan province in southeast Iran.

The “terrorist attack was carried out by armed criminals” who attacked a police patrol – according to Tasnim news agency citing informed sources.

The attack took place hours ago and the police clashed with the armed assailants.

So far, no group has claimed responsibility.

The Iranian ministry of interior ordered an investigation into the circumstances of the incident.

According to the ministry’s statement, 10 soldiers of FARAJA –Law Enforcement Command of the Islamic Republic of Iran– were martyred.
