A report by journalist Mohammed Al-Mshari, which described resistance leaders as cowards and terrorists, has sparked significant outrage on social media.

Al-Mshari, who works for MBC, deleted his account on the platform X (formerly Twitter) amid fierce criticism, with users pointing out that he made this decision while safely at home, miles away from the situation he criticized.

The backlash intensified after MBC aired Al-Mshari's report titled "Millennium of Liberation from Terrorists," which labeled prominent Hamas figures, including the late Ismail Haniyeh, his deputy Saleh Al-Arouri, and Yahya Sinwar, as terrorists. The report aired on Friday and quickly drew widespread condemnation.

In response to the tsunami of criticism, Al-Mshari deleted his X account and made his Instagram profile private, limiting access to his content.

Hamas denounced the report as "offensive" and indicative of "yellow journalism," demanding that MBC retract the report, remove it from its platforms, and issue an apology. They also called for a reevaluation of the network's editorial approach, which they believe aligns with the agenda of the occupation and overlooks the atrocities faced by the Palestinian people at the hands of Israeli Occupation.
