"Yellow journalism": Hamas demands apology from MBC for damaging report
Hamas condemned a recent report aired by the MBC channel, which described the movement's leaders as "terrorists."
In a strongly worded statement, Hamas characterized the report as "unjust and inciting," claiming it is aimed at vilifying the movement and its leadership.
In their statement released via Telegram, Hamas highlighted the context of suffering endured by the Palestinian people.
"At a time when our Palestinian people are subjected to an unprecedented genocidal war and terrorist aggression from the Zionist entity and its army for over a year, an Arabic-speaking channel called MBC presents us with a dark and inciting report against the movement and its leaders, describing Palestinian resistance actions as terrorism," the statement said." This professional, media, and ethical downfall aligns with the Zionist propaganda aimed at demonizing resistance and its symbols."
Hamas described the MBC report as a product of "yellow journalism" and demanded an immediate retraction and removal of the report from all MBC platforms, along with a public apology.
They emphasized that the report not only tarnished the reputation of the channel but also disrespected the resistance leaders who have sacrificed their lives for the liberation of Palestine and Al-Aqsa.
