Medical professionals encouraged to register for electronic billing system before deadline
Hussam Abu Ali, Director General of the Income and Sales Tax Department, expressed gratitude to the approximately 100,000 companies, establishments, and individuals who registered for the National Electronic Invoicing System.
Abu Ali explained that recent text messages sent to certain doctors and professionals were part of ongoing efforts to follow up with those who have yet to register. These messages encouraged them to sign up and announced a grace period before any fines would be imposed for non-registration.
The Director General urged all doctors who have not yet registered to do so promptly, in coordination with the Medical Association, to avoid potential legal penalties.
To register for the National Electronic Invoicing System, users can visit the Income and Sales Tax Department's website.
The department encourages all taxpayers to reach out to its service center via phone, WhatsApp (062222130), or social media for guidance and assistance with electronic transactions.
