Amman Municipality to replace Bus Rapid Transit traffic light heads

The Greater Amman Municipality (GAM) began replacing the traffic light heads for the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) route on Monday with new maroon traffic lights, a color matching the BRT buses.

In a statement sent to Roya, the municipality explained that the purpose of replacing the old color with the new maroon is to enhance road safety, allowing drivers to easily distinguish between the traffic lights specific to the BRT route and those for regular traffic lanes.

The municipality added that the work to replace the BRT traffic light heads with the new color will continue for three weeks.
