Train collision in Egypt injures at least 20 people

13-10-2024 11:39|At least 20 people were injured when two trains collided in Minya Governorate, Egypt, causing some carriages to fall into the Ibrahimiya Canal, according to the Egyptian Ministry of Health.
Train services on the Cairo-Aswan line have been suspended due to the accident, which involved two locomotives and Sleeper Train No. 1087 near the Abu Qurqas station.
In response, Egyptian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Health Khaled Abdel Ghaffar ordered hospitals in the affected area to raise their medical alert level.
