“Explosive object lands near Aqaba’s Southern Beach,” authorities say

A spokesperson for the Public Security Directorate (PSD) said that a report was received by Aqaba Police before midnight regarding an ‘explosive object that had fallen in the southern beach area.’

Security forces immediately cordoned off the area, and it was confirmed that there were no reported injuries.

The Royal Engineering Corps was tasked with handling the fragments and remnants of the explosive object.

Earlier, the ‘Israeli’ Army Radio cited a military source stating that a flying object en route to Eilat, in southern ‘Israel’, had been intercepted on Wednesday.

Roya's correspondent in Aqaba confirmed that the ‘Israeli’ military had shot down the object, which was heading toward the occupied city of Eilat.

Cameras captured the moment the object was brought down, but its origin remains unclear.

Afterwards, the Islamic Resistance in Iraq claimed responsibility for attacking a key target in Eilat using drones.
