Iran’s attack on “Israel” taught it lesson, Bashar al-Assad says

Syrian President Bashar al-Assad said Saturday that the Iranian ballistic missile taught “Israel” a lesson, adding that it shows the “resistance axis is capable of deterring the enemy.”

In a meeting with the Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi in Damascus, al-Assad emphasized the strategic relationship between Syria and Iran and its importance in confronting regional challenges – according to a statement by the Syrian Presidency on its X account.

During the meeting, al-Assad and Araghchi discussed ways to halt the ongoing “Israeli” aggression against Lebanon, highlighting the necessity of providing aid and support to the Lebanese people in light of the massive displacement caused by the “Israeli” attacks.
