Lebanon’s Minister of Health, Yusuf Bakhash, praised Jordan for its support during the ongoing “Israeli” assault on Lebanon.

Bakhash expressed concerns about Lebanon's dwindling medical supplies but acknowledged that aid from neighboring countries, including Jordan, Iraq, and Syria, has helped ensure the availability of essential surgical supplies and medications.

He extended gratitude to Jordan for its assistance, highlighting the solidarity shown by the Jordanian people.

Bakhash also revealed that the Jordanian Medical Association (JMA) was the first to reach out to its Lebanese counterpart, offering support to Lebanon’s medical teams.

Since September 23, “Israeli” forces have intensified airstrikes on southern Beirut and various regions in Lebanon. According to Lebanon’s Disaster Risk Management Unit (DRM), the attacks have claimed the lives of 1,928 people and injured 9,290 others since October.

Additionally, the ongoing violence has led to a significant displacement crisis, with around 1.2 million people forced to flee their homes due to relentless bombardment.
