Jordanian Armed Forces foil drug smuggling attempt from Syria

A responsible military source from the General Command of the Jordanian Armed Forces announced that the Eastern Military Region, in coordination with military security agencies and the Drug Enforcement Administration, thwarted an attempt to smuggle large quantities of drugs from Syrian territory early Wednesday morning.

The source stated that following intensified search and inspection operations in the area, a substantial amount of narcotics was discovered. The seized materials have been referred to the relevant authorities for further action.

The source reaffirmed the commitment of the Jordanian Armed Forces to utilize their various capabilities and resources to prevent all forms of infiltration and smuggling attempts with force, ensuring the security and stability of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
