“Israel” reportedly begins ground invasion in southern Lebanon
The Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) reportedly launched a ground invasion into southern Lebanon, according to Hebrew media.
"Israeli" media reported that the ministers of the Security Cabinet formally endorsed the plan for the next phase of the operation in Lebanon, which involves launching a ground operation.
Lebanese sources, however, said that the “Israeli” army was not seen entering Lebanese borders.
Meanwhile, the Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) demanded that residents of Laylaki, Haret Hreik, and Burj Al-Barajneh in Dahieh in southern Beirut evacuate immediately.
An IOF spokesperson urged against sharing details of the forces' activities to avoid endangering them.
Later, Lebanese sources reported that IOF tanks were shelling the towns of Khiam and Kafr Kila in southern Lebanon.
IOF warplanes dropped thermal balloons and flares over the skies of Beirut’s southern suburbs and areas in southern Lebanon.
This comes amid escalating hostilities along the Lebanon-"Israel" border over the past several days, especially after the Israeli Occupation assassinated Hezbollah Secretary-General, Hassan Nasrallah.
