Jordan's limb support unit provides prosthetics to amputees in Gaza
The Jordanian mobile limb support unit provided prosthetic limbs to patients in the Gaza Strip under the "Restoring Hope" initiative.
This effort is conducted under the supervision of the Royal Medical Services, in collaboration with the Jordanian Hashemite Charity Organization (JHCO) and various local partners.
Since its arrival on September 17, the unit has addressed numerous cases through two mobile clinics dispatched by the Jordanian armed forces.
A specialized medical team from the National Center for Amputation Rehabilitation has successfully fitted 26 lower limbs and seven upper limbs to those in need.
Local residents have expressed their deep gratitude for Jordan's ongoing support and commitment to providing essential medical and therapeutic services, which have significantly uplifted the spirits of the community.
The specialists involved in the "Restoring Hope" initiative employ advanced techniques that enable amputees to walk on the same day they receive their prosthetics.
The initiative aims to reach a large number of amputees in the Gaza Strip, offering renewed hope and independence to those affected by the ongoing aggression.
