Petroleum Committee cuts gasoline, diesel Prices

The Petroleum Derivatives Pricing Committee held its monthly meeting today, Monday, to set the prices of selling oil products in Jordan for the period from October 1st to October 31st.

The committee reviewed the global prices of crude oil and petroleum products during the month of September and compared them with those of the previous month, August.

After applying the pricing equation according to the global prices, it was found that the price of 90-octane gasoline decreased by 25 fils/liter, and the price of 95-octane gasoline decreased by 30 fils/liter - and a decrease in the price of diesel by 40 fils/liter.

Accordingly, the Committee decided to decrease the selling price of 90-octane gasoline to 860 fils/liter instead of 885 fils/liter, and to decrease the selling price of 95-octane gasoline to 1095 fils/liter instead of 1125 fils/liter, and to decrease the price of diesel to 655 fils/liter instead of 695 fils/liter.

The committee also decided to maintain the price of kerosene for the upcoming month of October at 620 fils/liter, and to keep the price of a household gas cylinder (12.5 kg) at seven dinars per cylinder.
