First responders save boy who fell into open sewage manhole in Amman

Civil Defense teams successfully rescued a boy in Amman's Jabal Al-Nasr area after he fell into an open sewage manhole.

First responders quickly reached the scene, administered first aid, and transported the child to a hospital for further evaluation.

The Civil Defense Directorate (CDD) urged parents to supervise their children, especially in public spaces and near infrastructure sites, and to ensure manhole covers are securely closed.

Additionally, they stressed the importance of educating children on the hazards of playing near manholes and drains.

They also called on the public to report any open or damaged manholes that pose potential dangers.
