Warnings issued for fog, rainfall at start of autumn
The Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) warned about reduced visibility in the early morning hours due to fog over mountainous areas.
Residents are advised to exercise caution, especially on roads that may become slippery in areas experiencing rainfall on the first day of autumn.
On Sunday, the weather is expected to be partly cloudy and pleasantly warm, particularly in mountainous regions. However, temperatures will remain relatively hot in the Jordan Valley, Dead Sea, and Aqaba.
There is a slight chance of light, scattered rain showers in limited areas of northern and central Jordan, with moderate northwesterly winds that may occasionally become gusty.
As night falls on Sunday, temperatures will drop, leading to relatively cool conditions in high mountainous areas and pleasant weather elsewhere, with clouds at varying altitudes. Winds will continue to be moderate northwesterly.
Looking ahead to Monday, pleasant weather is forecasted to persist, especially over mountainous areas, while the Jordan Valley, Dead Sea, and Aqaba will experience relatively hot conditions, with some cloud cover at different altitudes. Winds will remain moderate from the northwest.
