Three Jordanian winners qualify for 2024 Red Bull Car Park Drift World Finals
Under the wide-eyed gaze of motorsport fans who returned to the Dead Sea’s service arena on Friday evening, Suhail Asbah succeeded in clinching the title of "King of Drift" after coming in first place in the Red Bull Car Park Drift Jordan final. Now, he has qualified to represent Jordan in the world finals, which will be held in Nizwa, Oman later this year.
The event, the largest this year on a national scale, saw fierce competition among 24 of Jordan's elite drift drivers. It was held in partnership with Jordan Motorsport, Ro’ya TV, Zain, Nissan - Bustami & Saheb Group, Ahli Bank, Talabat Mart, Radio Hala, and Bliss 104.3.
Suhail won the title and electrified the audience thanks to his outstanding performance in his BMW E46 earning the admiration of the three-member judging panel consisting of motorsport expert Youssef Basil, a representative from the Jordan Motorsport Federation Ayman Najar, and Lebanese rally champion Jean Pierre Nasrallah. Suhail advanced through the two rounds onto the finale, during which he managed to accumulate the highest points, surpassing Moaid Marwan, who took second place, and Raafat Haroun, who came in third.
It is worth noting that for the first time in the history of Red Bull Car Park Drift’s history, all three podium winners will move onto the world finals to compete, with last year’s drift champion Moaid Marwan as well as Raafat Haroun, hoping to score big and raise the Kingdom's flag high once the smoke settles after the final showdown.
