An “Israeli” soldier was killed on Thursday after an explosive-laden drone was launched by Hezbollah towards Kibbutz Kabri in the Western Galilee.
He is identified as Sergeant First Class (reserve) Valeri Chefonov, 33 years old, from Netanya – according to a statement by the Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) released today, Friday.
He served as the vehicle management officer of the 228th “Alon” Brigade’s 9308th Battalion.
The IOF said several drones that entered “Israeli” airspace from Lebanon hit the Western Galilee area, while others were downed by air defenses.
