Hamas accuses “Israel” of stalling ceasefire negotiations

Hamas revealed in a brief statement on Thursday that it has not yet been informed by intermediaries of any new developments regarding the ceasefire negotiations.

"The [Israeli] occupation continues its policy of stalling to buy time in order to thwart this round of negotiations, as it has done in previous rounds,” Hamas stated. “This tactic will not deceive our people and their resistance."

Hamas noted that since the discussions about the return of indirect ceasefire negotiations began, the occupation escalated its aggression and brutal bombing of Gaza.

The Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor said that the ongoing crimes committed by the Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) primarily aim to use civilians as a tool for pressure, extortion, and to eliminate Palestinians amid international silence on the genocide.

The Washington Post reported developments in the negotiations between Hamas and the Israeli Occupation, confirming progress in the general framework for completing a deal between Tel Aviv and Hamas.

The American newspaper, citing sources involved in the negotiations, stated that Hamas agreed to form a temporary Palestinian government in the Gaza Strip in the second phase of the deal, on the condition of ending the war and exchanging prisoners.

The Post also noted that a security force consisting of 2,500 armed members of the Palestinian Authority (PA) would be formed after being trained by Americans to manage security issues in Gaza, and they would receive Arab support.
