The International Court of Justice (ICJ) announced that Spain has requested to join South Africa's lawsuit accusing “Israeli” forces of committing genocide in Gaza.

Turkey had already joined South Africa in the case along with South Africa, as announced by the Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan.

In January, the ICJ ordered “Israeli” forces to refrain from any actions that might violate the Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide, and to ensure their forces do not commit acts of genocide against Palestinians in Gaza.

The Israeli Occupation and its allies have dismissed these allegations as baseless. A final ruling on the case could take years in the ICJ in The Hague.
