Israeli Occupation Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu addressed Sunday his army’s decision to “tactically halt” the military operation in the southern Gaza Strip.

Netanyahu expressed that the tactical pause was unacceptable to him and that he had not been consulted about it, according to Hebrew Channel 12.

Earlier on Sunday, the Israeli Occupation army announced a “tactical cessation” of its operations in southern Gaza to facilitate the delivery of humanitarian aid.

As reported by the Associated Press, the Israeli Occupation army stated it would halt military operations in Rafah from 8 AM to 7 PM for one day, until further notice.

The army explained that this pause was to allow aid trucks to reach the Karam Abu Salem crossing and travel along the Salah al-Din Highway, a key route linking the north and south, to distribute supplies.

The ceasefire was coordinated with the United Nations and international relief agencies.

Later, an army spokesperson clarified that military operations in southern Gaza had not ceased and were ongoing, with no changes in the entry of goods into the Strip.

He added that the route for transporting goods would be open during the day in coordination with international organizations to allow for the delivery of humanitarian aid only.
