The Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) announced Sunday that two soldiers were killed in north Gaza when their tank was attacked by Palestinian resistance “over the weekend”.

The soldiers were identified as Captain Eitan Koplovich, 28 years old; and Warrant Officer Elon Weiss, 49 years old – both soldiers were from the 8th Reserve Armored Brigade’s 129th Battalion

Both were killed when an explosive device detonated against their tank – the statement by the IOF said.

Two other soldiers were seriously injured in the same incident.

Their deaths bring the toll of killed IOF soldiers in the ground invasion of the Gaza Strip to 311.
