The Grand Criminal Court sentenced a 20-year-old man to seven years of hard labor for repeatedly raping a minor, leading to her pregnancy. The court found the defendant guilty of raping the 17-year-old girl 170 times, treating her as a spouse, before both were apprehended by the police.

During a public session, the court convicted the defendant of the felony of non-marital intercourse with a female, as per Article 294\1 of the Penal Code, repeated 170 times. The court dismissed the public right case against the defendant for the misdemeanor of violating the custody of a minor, as it was covered by the general amnesty law.

The court imposed the harshest penalty on the defendant, sentencing him to seven years of hard labor, including fees and expenses.

In its decision, the court noted that the 17-year-old victim had a habit of running away from her family home and engaging in sexual activities with unknown men in exchange for money. In January 2023, she met the defendant and informed him of her situation. According to the court's decision, he took her to his home, where she stayed for several months and allowed him to treat her as a spouse.

The court's decision revealed that the defendant repeated his criminal acts against the victim approximately 170 times over various periods. When the victim's menstrual cycle stopped, she took a pregnancy test and discovered she was pregnant. Subsequently, she was arrested by the police.
