Jordan's Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Safadi met with his French counterpart, Stéphane Séjourné, in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

During the meeting, which took place on the sidelines of the special World Economic Forum hosted by Saudi Arabia, Safadi emphasized the necessity of a clear collective international stance to prevent any attack on Rafah, stating that such an event would constitute a new massacre.

Safadi also underlined the importance of halting all unilateral and illegal Israeli Occupation actions that contribute to escalation and worsen the situation, including settlement expansion and land confiscation. He expressed appreciation for France's clear support for the two-state solution and condemnation of settlements as illegal.

The two ministers discussed the situations in the West Bank and Lebanon, with Safadi briefing Séjourné on efforts to prevent a new conflict in Lebanon.

Safadi emphasized the importance of preventing the conflict from spreading and ensuring that the region avoids further confrontation.

Both ministers stressed the need for continued cooperation and coordination to halt the war in Gaza and facilitate aid delivery to the region. They also discussed bilateral relations and strategies for their development, affirming their commitment to expanding cooperation across various sectors for mutual benefit.
