Crown Prince hails Jordan as beacon of interfaith harmony
Crown Prince Hussein bin Abdullah II emphasized Jordan's role as a model of coexistence and religious harmony during his reception at Al-Husseiniya Palace on Tuesday.
He met with a delegation from Georgetown University led by Imam Yahya Hindi, Director of Preaching and Guidance, along with faculty members Father Matthew Carnes and Ryan Craig, and students.
The delegation was visiting as part of an educational course on religious convergence in Jordan.
The Crown Prince discussed regional tensions and their impact on interfaith relations, stressing the importance of fostering tolerance and emphasizing commonalities among people.
He commended the delegation's efforts to organize educational visits across various continents and underscored the significance of research based on factual evidence.
The Crown Prince also highlighted Jordan's ongoing initiative, the "Aqaba Meetings," which involves collaboration with numerous countries and international organizations to combat terrorism comprehensively and counter extremist ideologies.
The meeting was attended by Dr. Zaid Al-Baqa’in, Director of the Office of the Crown Prince.
