Roya Media Group launched Tuesday a Hebrew news website; a pioneering venture designed to relay the Palestinian/Arab discourse to Israeli audiences and Hebrew-speakers worldwide.

Roya News Hebrew” and its digital platforms are also aimed at portraying RMG’s message, the voice of Jordan and the Palestinian aspirations.

Through this window, the Israeli audience gets an insight into selected news and analysis reflecting the scene in the Palestinian territories and Jordan. On the other end, Roya offers its Arab audiences a reflection of the socio-economic and political developments inside Israel.

This project falls in line with the Group’s philosophy based on bridge-building, transparency, balance and fairness. It is designed to address “the hearts and minds of youngmen and women, and interact with the future-makers through a cross-cultural balanced and cultivating content.”

Part of its mission is informing the young generation about the core of the Palestinian cause and keeping them updated on its latest developments. Likewise, it serves as a counter bridge, by relaying the debates and political trends Inside Israel to Roya audiences in Jordan and beyond.

Precedent!
A rare Hebrew-speaking project saw the light in Jordan 50 years ago. In the early 1970’s, the Jordan official TV pioneered a 15-minute News bulletin in Hebrew via its “English Channel.” This far-fetched project then, lasted until the millenium, when the English Channel was cancelled, thus abolishing the news in Hebrew, English and French.

Roya Media Group is a Jordan-based independent pioneering media spectrum with Arab and international scopes. It has a tangible presence in the Palestinian Territories and correspondents across the region. Since its debut in 2011, this multi-platform, multi-application group has occupied a vast part of the Arab media sphere. It beams 40 direct digital channels, including a 24/7 news channel, 14 channels on Whatsapp application and 13 pages on Threads.
