Defense Minister ‘Israel’ Katz has instructed the military to "increase its readiness and be prepared for any possible scenario in Gaza." ahead of the third anniversary of October 7th.

Katz stated: "Intelligence indicating that Hamas intends to try to carry out assaults and attacks against our forces in Gaza on that day." 

In his statement, the defense minister said that ‘Israeli’ forces must prepare for “worst-case scenarios”, adding that "forceful action should be taken in response to any intelligence or warning to thwart any threat, in addition to the forceful activity already being carried out." 

Katz further said that if ‘Israeli’ forces are harmed, "Hamas and the population of Gaza will pay a heavy price, beyond all proportion."

‘Israel’s’ National Security Council (NSC) claimed there is a high risk of "terror attacks against Israelis and Jews abroad," ahead of "the third anniversary of October 7."

"As we approach the third anniversary of October 7, the National Security Council (NSC) emphasizes the increased threat of attempts to harm Israelis and Jews abroad alongside demonstrations and riots," the NSC said, stating that "terrorist organizations, and particularly Iran and its proxies, Hamas, and Global Jihad factions," view this date as "a significant milestone."

Simultaneously, Netanyahu claimed during a cabinet session that "Hamas will try to challenge us with the remnants of its forces ahead of the elections in order to try to influence them."

He added that 'Israeli' forces will foil "such attempts and respond with immense force if they make that mistake."
