The leader of the Labor Party and Knesset member, Merav Michaeli, criticized the policy of the Israeli Occupation Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his plans in the ongoing aggression against Gaza.

During a session of the Knesset's Foreign Affairs and Security Committee Tuesday, Michaeli accused Netanyahu of "miserable failure."

Michaeli announced last week that she would retire from political life before the upcoming Knesset elections.

Netanyahu claimed that the Oslo Accords were the biggest mistake made by the Israeli Occupation and argued that the Palestinian Authority would not be able to control Gaza under any circumstances, leaving the responsibility of maintaining security to the Occupation government.

Netanyahu stated that Hezbollah is not in a state of war and is only issuing warnings, despite the ongoing targeting of the Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) in the north and attempted infiltrations by Hezbollah fighters.

During the committee session, members discussed the topic of captives held in Gaza by Hamas, considering their return not only a moral and humanitarian issue but also a strategic matter for them.
