Yisrael Beytenu leader Avigdor Liberman on Monday ruled out joining any governing coalition alongside 'Israel's' Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, rejecting the possibility even under an arrangement that would grant him the premiership first in a rotation deal, as stated by 'Israeli' media.
Speaking at a press briefing, Liberman addressed ongoing political maneuvers following the elections, revealing that representatives from the governing coalition had approached him with several unconventional coalition offers. He noted, however, that he had not held direct discussions with Netanyahu.

“I have been approached by leaders from the coalition with the strangest proposals,” he said.
Ending days of speculation regarding his party's stance in upcoming coalition consultations, Liberman stated that Yisrael Beytenu will formally recommend that Yashar leader Gadi Eisenkot receive the presidential mandate to form the next government.
In addition to endorsing Eisenkot for the premiership, Liberman pledged his party's backing for Opposition Leader and B’Yachad No. 2 Yair Lapid to assume the position of Knesset Speaker. Liberman heads the right-wing secular nationalist party Yisrael Beytenu.
