The Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs, Mohammad Al-Khalayleh, condemned the plan of extremist Zionist groups to organize a march against the Islamic Awqaf of Jerusalem and the Hashemite guardianship of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque/Al-Haram Al-Qudsi Al-Shareef.

Khalayleh emphasized the dangerous escalation caused by the protection and support of the Israeli Occupation authorities for this march, warning that it could ignite conflict in the region and contribute to the escalation of warlike situations.

The minister stressed that the recent escalation targeting Al-Aqsa Mosque constitutes a blatant assault on the beliefs and faith of all Muslims.

He called on Muslims worldwide to support the steadfastness of the Awqaf of Jerusalem and the Jerusalemites defending Al-Aqsa, urging them to unite and show solidarity to protect their sanctities.

Khalayleh highlighted that the Hashemite guardianship continues to work to preserve the identity of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque/Al-Haram Al-Qudsi Al-Shareef, considering it a purely Islamic mosque that does not accept partnership or division.

This is following the religious and historical status quo established since the Isra and Mi'raj journey, the Umayyad construction of this blessed mosque, and the Age of Conquest.

Finally, the Minister of Awqaf affirmed that Jordan will continue to exert all possible efforts sincerely to protect Al-Aqsa Mosque from any desecration or distortion.
