The spokesperson for the Jordan Customs Department announced that customs officers at the Jaber Border Center, in collaboration with security forces, thwarted an attempt to smuggle 565,000 narcotic Captagon pills.

The spokesperson explained that based on intelligence information, a targeted inspection of a truck revealed the concealed narcotics meticulously hidden within the truck's cargo area in a specially prepared compartment.

The seized items were handed over to the relevant security authorities to take the necessary legal measures.

The spokesperson highlighted the continuous joint efforts of Jordanian customs officers, working in close cooperation with various security agencies.

Their ongoing commitment aims to protect the national economy and citizens from all forms of smuggling, particularly narcotics, which directly impact human health.

The public was urged to promptly report any information or violations that could harm the national economy and citizens' health to the toll-free number (105) of the Jordan Customs Department - Anti-Smuggling Operations Center.
