Employees of the Jaber Customs Center, in cooperation with the Public Security Directorate (PSD), thwarted a smuggling attempt of 400,000 'Captagon' pills.

That amount is equivalent to 67 kilograms of the narcotic substance, which was hidden well inside a secret cache.

The media spokesperson for the Jordanian Customs Department said officers were suspicious of a reefer truck, which was inspected and the Captagon pills were found hidden in the flooring of the vehicle.

These narcotics were transported from a neighboring country, in a vehicle that was specially equipped for the purpose of smuggling narcotics.

The Director General of Jordanian Customs Jalal Al-Qudah affirmed the department's commitment to intensify efforts and utilize all capabilities to combat infiltration and smuggling attempts.

He also praised the great efforts and high efficiency of Jordanian Customs officials.

The Customs Department called on all citizens to report any cases of smuggling by calling the free number (105) of the Anti-Smuggling Operations Center of the Customs Department.
