In conjunction with the start of the academic year, the Jordan Food and Drug Administration has initiated a comprehensive field survey of food establishments including restaurants and cafeterias in the Kingdom's public universities.

The aim is to ensure compliance with health regulations and the implementation of food safety and quality standards throughout all stages of food handling.

The Director-General of the JFDA, Nizar Muhaidat, stated in a press release that the inspection and monitoring teams conducted inspections as a precautionary measure.

The JFDA called on the operators of these establishments to adhere to the best practices and to intensify self-monitoring to ensure the flow of safe food, thereby safeguarding the health and safety of citizens.
